Dr. Landon Heckman
Dr. Landon grew up in Alabama, where he attended Auburn University and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. He then completed dental school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following dental school, Dr. Landon and his wife, Gabrielle, relocated to Washington, D.C. where he practiced as a general dentist with a focus on children for two years while his wife completed her certified registered nurse anesthetist program. Once Gabrielle completed her training, they moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where Dr. Landon completed his two years of pediatric dental residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, a top 10 Children’s Hospital in the nation.
Dr. Landon’s education provided comprehensive training in pediatric dentistry with a focus on patients with special health care needs, hospital dentistry, preventative dentistry, sedation and general anesthesia dentistry, and solutions to issues of access to care. He is a board certified pediatric dentist and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry as well as the Colorado Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Landon holds an active Colorado dental license as well as a moderate sedation permit.
In his free time, Dr. Landon enjoys playing tennis or guitar and spending as much time as possible outdoors with his family. In the spring of 2020, Dr. Landon and his wife, Gabrielle, welcomed their baby boy, Noah, to the family. Their other two kiddos are their furry pups, Lila and Nahla.
“If there’s one thing I want parents to know, it’s that a pediatric dental office can be a fun environment where kids actually enjoy their experience and look forward to coming back. I was personally terrified of the dentist as a child. I had some bad experiences that left a residual fear of dental environments inside of me. A primary goal of my practice as a pediatric dentist is to ensure that every child begins their young life with a positive outlook on dental care as well as to identify those patients with previously embedded fears and help them to overcome them.”

Our office manager, Sarah, has been serving Colorado’s dental community for over 14 years and is excited to now be part of the Highlands Pediatric Dentistry family!

When she’s not verifying insurance, answering phones and scheduling your little ones, she can be found trying out new restaurants, watching scary movies or fussing over her vegetable garden while hanging with the loves of her life, Gabe and their 6.5-pound feisty Chiweiner, “Mu.”
Savanna — Lead Dental Assistant
Savanna is the awesome Lead Assistant on the Highlands Pediatric Dentistry team! Full of bubbly charisma, she brings a fun and exciting energy to the office that makes everyone’s smiles bright. She’s been with us for two years now, and continues to impress us and our HPD families with her knowledge and kindness. Savanna went to Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Her experience with exotic animals has her ready to take on your “wild child”!
Savanna has her own toothy companion named Shark, who loves going on outdoor adventures with her mom. When she’s not hiking with her pup, you can find her skiing down the slopes or visiting with friends and family, which includes an identical twin sister!

Krizia – Dental Assistant
Krizia joined the HPD team over a year ago and is an absolute natural with the kiddos! A career change brought her to us after 10-plus years in the restaurant industry, which we can attest fully prepared her for managing the hustle of the big families that come together for appointments! When she’s not comforting kiddos or convincing them Moana is the best Disney movie, she’s enjoying hiking in the mountains with her frenchie Murphy, hanging out with her friends, and getting as much time in the sunshine as she can. She loves and misses her family back in Arizona, and gets out to see them as often as her busy schedule allows.

Andrea – Dental Assistant
Our newest Dental Assistant, Andrea, has been with us a short time yet already feels like a part of the family. She’s from El Paso, Texas, now calling Colorado home where she loves to get her workouts in not only at the gym, but on the trails in the Colorado sun. As the oldest of eight siblings (all the rest being brothers!), we couldn’t have brought on anyone better to create calm with our busiest families! She is passionate about pediatric dentistry and taking care of kiddos, and it shows! When she’s not holding a prophy angle, you can find her walking and hiking with her pup Chanel, spending time with her big family or dreaming about what it would be like to be Spider-Man…her fave superhero.

Aine – Patient Care Coordiator
Our patient care coordinator, Aine, is thrilled to be a part of Highlands Pediatric Dentistry! New to Colorado, Aine has loved getting to know the community through her work at HPD, while also full-time schooling it for her Masters in Public Health. When she is not in the office or taking classes, she spends the majority of her time outdoors, hiking, biking, running, skiing, and exploring her new home.
